Consumer Confidence. EU, 11:00 (GMT+2)


At 11:00 (GMT+2) May data on the Consumer Confidence index in the euro area will be published. The indicator is calculated based on a survey of 2300 households that evaluate the prospects for the economy. This is a leading indicator for consumer spending. High rates indicate consumer optimism. The index is expected to remain at –21.1 points, which could put pressure on the euro.
