Interest Rate Decision. Australia, 06:30 (GMT+2)

At 06:30 (GMT+2) the Reserve Bank of Australia will announce the decision on the interest rate. The regulator is expected to raise the rate from 0.10% to 0.25% for the first time since 2020 amid accelerated inflation, which reached 5.1% in Q1 2022 compared to 3.5% recorded in Q4 2021. The follow-up statement may contain an assessment of the country’s financial authorities regarding the current state of the national economy against the backdrop of global geopolitical tensions and the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine, which has already caused problems in the supply of goods and caused a significant jump in energy prices.
